Has anyone ever done an all inclusive alone before?
I fully understand what you mean on the single supplement, it can add up.
I went to an all-inclusive in Punta Cana in April by myself and had a great time.
But, it probably depends on what you are looking for.
I ran, swam, tanned, kayaked, tried scuba-diving...whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. It was one of the best holidays I have ever had and I plan on doing it many, many more times.
This Caribbean country is one of our favourite new singles holiday destinations.
Punta Cana Resort The Punta Cana Resort sits on the eastern most tip of the Dominican Republic and has beautiful white beaches that look out to both the Caribbean and the Atlantic.I've always ended up at resorts where they will not waive the single supplement. Even though I was the yougest of the group I still had a great time! I have gone to Cabo and to the dominican alone and both times hooked up with people that I met there ...It depends on the resort, and chains policies whether or not to charge extra. Someone mentioned there are more often single guys than girls - and that is pretty true from what I've seen .....The hotel has been recently redesigned from the ground up to make a fantastic environment for adults only - making it perfect for a singles holiday to Punta Cana. The hotel has 589 rooms - split between superior rooms, suites and sun-deck rooms - many of which have exquisite views of the sea.I've heard there are websites/forums dedicated to single travellers who wish to room with someone else to avoid the supplements. You can be as alone as you want, or join in at any of the all inclusives I've been to - alone - and that's quite a few! I think that women are more worried for their safety and of course there is the whole stereotypical idea of whats "appropriate ....
